Susan Miller – Susan is retired from the faculty at Johns Hopkins University where she ran medical research studies for many years. A recent transplant to the eastern shore, she now lives on a small farm with a variety of rescued animals including horses, pigs, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. She has been involved with AWL for many years as a donor, adopter, volunteer and a member of the board.
Michelle Rossini- "In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog". Michelle strives to fulfill this dream of every animal rescuer as an active board member for Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne's County. When you enter Michelle's home, you are greeted by four canine rescues of her own. You may also be greeted by the occasional medical needs foster. Michelle has a talent for special event planning and has been an integral part in previous events such as "The Kentucky Derby" as well as "Whiskers, Wags, and Wine". Her passion for animal rescue branches out to many other organizations as well through donations, marketing, and transportation services.
Betsy Andrews - Betsy spent many years in association management. More recently, she has worked in several school systems in a support capacity (and still does). She and her husband moved to QAC in 2008 where they share their home with a wonderful assortment of rescue cats. An avid equestrienne, she taught, trained, showed and coached for many years, and is certified as a Master Instructor, Assistant Clinic Instructor, and Instructor of Riders with Disabilities by the Certified Horsemanship Association. She has been involved with AWL for a few years as a donor, volunteer, and board member.

Virginia Williams- Ginny has been involved with animal rescue for close to 20 years. She started as a volunteer with Animal Resource Foundation (ARF) and eventually started walking dogs for QAC Animal Control, and then joined Animal Welfare League of QAC at its inception. She is passionate about all animals in need and you will see her most weekends volunteering to walk the dogs at AWL. Her full time job is for Crossroads Community finance department, where she has worked for 21 years.
Erin Davidson, associate board member- Erin comes to the board as a longtime volunteer. Her passion is to ensure that all homeless animals find their forever home. When she is not working her full time job as an EMT for Talbot County or volunteering at AWL, she resides in Queenstown with her husband, Phil and 3 cats, Casper, Stoli, and Stella
Yvonne Scalph, associate board member- Yvonne has been a volunteer with AWL since 2013. Her mission is to find perfect matches between shelter animals and families. When she is not volunteering at AWL, she enjoys time with family and friends, riding motorcycles, and playing golf. She lives in Chester with her husband, Derwin (D). Their 3 children, Clint, Raven, and Chloe. Plus her animal members of the family. 2 dogs, Sura and Maggie. 3 cats, Chuchill, Bubba, and Phoebe. 1 Breaded Dragon, JJ.
Gina Lancaster, associate board member- Gina has worked and volunteered in the animal world for many years. She has 20 years’ experience as a veterinary technician, 10 years managing a vet hospital. She is a certified animal behavior consultant and veterinary nutritional consultant. She currently works for Chesterwye and actively volunteer with the local 4H group. She lives with her family on a small farm with a menagerie of rescue animals.
